December 27, 2007Keith D. HUNTLEY, 71, of Clear Lake died Dec. 24, 2007 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn. Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 28, at Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Dean HESS officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Keith D. HUNTLEY Memorial Fund.
Keith was born the son of Laurice and Fayne (PATTON) HUNTLEY, June 9, 1936 at Mason City, Iowa. Keith was a 1955 graduate of Clear Lake High School. While in high school he worked for the Clear Lake Telephone Company and following graduation continued to work for Clear Lake Telephone as a lineman and then as a construction supervisor, retiring March 30, 2007 after 52 years of service.
Keith was a former member of the Clear Lake Planning and Zoning, and Clear Lake Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed traveling the Midwest and doing home improvement. He was always busy. He liked old western movies and was a Dallas Cowboy fan. He was also a collector of many things.
Keith is survived by his wife, Gloria HUNTLEY, of Clear Lake; his children, Scott HUNTLEY of Glendale, Az., Kim (Rod) CARROTT, of Ankeny, Iowa, Steve HUNTLEY of Pueblo, Colo., and Paul (Jill) HUNTLEY, of West Des Moines, Iowa; 11 grandchildren, Alex, Arin, Alysa, Kirsten, Jaime, Jared, Josh, Mariah, Emma and Madeline Hayden; three brothers, Ken (Bettie) HUNTLEY, Ron HUNTLEY all of Clear Lake, and Wayne (Marge) HUNTLEY of Rockwell, Iowa; four step-children, Mickey (Bill) TRUMAN, Indianola, Iowa, Albert (Loretta) SEVERINO, Des Moines, Iowa, Kathie (Ray) PEREZ of Des Moines, and Janie (Benny) MUELLER, of Clear Lake; and four step-grandchildren, Billy, Josh, A.J. and Alex.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents.
Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangement.
