December 14, 1996YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Sidney H. BREWER, 73, of 3537 Arden Blvd., Youngstown, Ohio, died Tuesday (Dec. 10, 1996) at the Boardman Community Center.
Memorial services were held at 11:45 a.m. Friday at Lake Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Lester WILSON officiating.
There was no visitation. Thompson Funeral Home, Youngstown, was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be given to Material contributions to church memorial fund in his memory.
Sidney H. Brewer was born Jan. 1, 1923, in Rockwell, Iowa, the son of Grant and Reba (DONALDSON) BREWER.
He was united in marriage to Elizabeth I. GRIFFITH on Dec. 28, 1945.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1943 to 1946.
He was employed by National Biscuit Company as operations manager from 1941 to December of 1984, when he retired.
He moved to Youngstown, Ohio, from Davenport, Iowa, in 1955.
He was a member of the Lockwood United Methodist Church.
He was superintendant of church school, commission of education, finance committee of the church and lay leader of the church.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth I. BREWER; two sons, Thomas BREWER, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Scott BREWER, of Boardman, Ohio; one daughter, Linda KHOURY, of Waterbury, Conn.; and six grandsons; twin brothers, Earl BREWER of Port Washington, Wis., and Meryl BREWER, Carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Glenn BREWER.
