MASON CITY -- Helene BRIGHT, 92, of 302 Second St. N.E., died Friday (Dec. 13, 1996) at the Good Shepherd Health Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. Richard SCHEERER of First Congregational United Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in Waucoma Cemetery, Waucoma.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. Tuesday until time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the Helene BRIGHT Memorial Fund.

Helene BRIGHT was born Dec. 26, 1903, in Waucoma, the daughter of Bert and Nellie (POTTER) BRIGHT. She graduated from Waucoma High School and went on to receive her B.A. degree from the University of Iowa. Helene taught school at West Union and Spencer before coming to Mason City. She taught 26 years in the English department at Mason City High School, as well as junior high at Monroe and John Adams. She retired from teaching in 1969. She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ.

Survivors include several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ross BRIGHT.
