Lawrence Behm

November 24, 1904 – August 4, 1981

Mason City, IA – Lawrence Behm, 76, Route 4, Mason City, IA died Tuesday (August 4, 1981) at home.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Mason City, with the Rev. Thomas McAndrew of Mason City Team Ministry officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Mason City. Visitation will be after 2 PM today at Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, where a Parish wake service will be held at 7:30 tonight. The family requests memorials be made to the Newman High School Foundation.

Mr. Behm attended Mason City High School and married Helen Stoeber in Northwood in 1935. He farmed north of Mason City all his life and owned and operated Behm Trucking and Cornshelling Business for 60 years.

Survivors include his wife, Helen, two sons, Donald J. Behm, Cypress, CA, and John W. Behm Sr., Mason City; five grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Rose Pinneke, Mrs. Lloyd (Lila) Bergan, and Mrs. Ralph (Ella) Gratias, all of Mason City.
