February 14, 1908 – May 21, 1981
Mason City, IA - Mrs. Edward (Clara) Popp, 73 of 635 S. Grant, died Thursday, May 21, 1981 at a Rochester MN hospital.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Mason City with the Rev. Thomas McAndrew officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Mason City. Visitation is at Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, where a Guild rosary will be recited at 7 PM tonight, followed by a parish wake service at 7:30 PM.
Mrs. Popp was born February 14, 1908 in Kiester, MN and attended Hamilton Business College, Mason City. She married Edward Popp in 1931 in Manly. She was a former employee of Wolf, Hibbens and Andersen Co., Bricelyn, MN and later worked as a bookkeeper for Montgomery Ward Store, Mason City. Mrs. Popp was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Ladies Guild.
Survivors include her husband, Edward, Mason City; one daughter, Lucille Greer, Chicago; one son, LaMar Popp; Minneapolis, MN six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Carmen Thorsen, Mesa, AZ and Mrs. Irene Nesji, Kiester, MN; also one brother Harry Johnson, Albert Lea, MN.
