DAVID W. MCCAULEY, 85, DIES

David W. McCAULEY, 85, died late Monday afternoon at a Rockwell nursing home. He had been a long-time resident of Mason City, having come here as a small child.

Mr. McCAULEY was born Feb. 5, 1876, at Grand Island, Neb., son of Bernard and Bridget (McGREEVY) McCAULEY.

Surviving are his wife, Loretta McCAULEY, Mason City; three sons, Lyle J. McCAULEY and W. D. McCAULEY both of Mason City and Francis E. McCAULEY, Fertile, and four daughters, Mrs. G.L. (Mildred) WARIN, Shenandoah; Mrs. Kenneth (Mae) MERRISS, Mason City; Mrs. Ralph (Kathryn) HARDIN, Chicago and Mrs. Clyde (Davita) BUFFINGTON, Fairfield, Calif. Twenty-three grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.

Requiem high Mass was schedule at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church the Paul J. MAGUIRE, pastor of the church, officiating and burial in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. A joint Rosary by the Tabernacle Society and members of St. Joseph's parish was set for 8 p.m. at the Hogan-McKee Colonial Chapel.
