Mary A. “Mickey” Popp

April 12, 1906 - November 18, 1994

Mason City, IA – Mrs. Mary A. “Mickey” Popp, 78 of 319 First NE died Sunday November 18, 1984 at a Mason City hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Slepicka of Mason City team ministry will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 3 PM today at the Hogan Bremer Colonial Chapel. A parish rosary will be said at 7 PM tonight at the chapel. Donations may be given to the Mary A. Popp Memorial Fund.

Mrs. Popp was born April 12, 1906 in Belmond, IA to Jim and Frances McGuire. She graduated from the Dubuque Girls School and the University of Iowa.

She lived in Mason City since 1924 where she has served as a sales clerk for more than 30 years. She retired in 1974. She married Walter Popp on January 15, 1949 in Oklahoma City, OK.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Ladies’ Aide.

Survivors include her husband, Walter, and one brother, Clemont McGuire, Oklahoma City, OK.
