CLEAR LAKE - Funeral services for Earl Edward RULE, 46, who died at his home, 710 N. 9th St., Saturday afternoon [August 14, 1954], will be held at Ward's Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon at 2. The Rev. A. D. KURTZ, pastor of the Evangelical Free Church will conduct the rites and burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.
Mr. RULE, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Scott RULE, was born Aug. 25, 1908, at Bawlf, Alberta, Canada. When a small child he came with the family to Iowa where he had since resided. He had been in failing health since a lung operation performed two years ago. Until June he was employed as a maintenance man at Bob NICHOLS Service Station.
Mr. RULE was unmarried and made his home with his parents until his mother died last Jan. 6 and his father, Aug. 4.
Mr. RULE is survived by three brothers, Rex RULE, Clear Lake; Virgil RULE, Bellevue, and Marvin RULE, Swaledale, and three sisters, Mrs. Albert (Faye) CHRISTENSON and Mrs. George (Merle) EDMUNDSON, Clear Lake, and Mrs. Fred (Clarice) YATES, Indianapolis, Ind.

CLEAR LAKE - Funeral services for Earl E. RULE, 46, who died at his home, 710 N. 9th St., Saturday [August 14, 1954], were held at Ward's Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. Albert KURTZ, pastor of the Evangelical Free Church, conducted the rites and burial was in Clear Lake Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Melvin and Vern BARLOW, Harry BOWLIN, Glenn WESTOVER, Robert NICHOLS and Ralph KIMBALL. Mrs. T. E. NELSON, accompanied by Jean RICKARD, sang "In The Garden" and "The Eastern Gate." Mmes. Robert and Edwin NICHOLS arranged the flowers. Many memorial gifts were received.
Relatives attending the services included Mr. and Mrs. Virgil RULE, Bellevue; Mrs. Fred YATES, Indianapolis, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin RULE and family, Swaledale; Mr.s W. P. KOSTOPOLOS, Council Bluffs; Messrs and Mmes. William BOLEN and Nels CHRISTENSON, Laurens; Messrs and Mmes. Stacy and Alfred LUNDAHL and Kay and Beverly Lundahl, Ogden; Mrs. Edgar THOMPSON, Boone; Mrs. Roy BARRETT and Mr. and Mrs. John BARRETT and Fern and Johnny, Luther; Mrs. Lester SHADLE, Jefferson; Mr. and Mrs. Robert RIGGINS and family and Mrs. Charles ECKHARDT, Hampton; Mr. and Mrs. Jake KRAMER, Sheffield; and Mrs. and Mrs. Leo JONES, Swaldale.
A dinner and lunch for relatives were served at the Albert CHRISTENSON home with Mmes. Will McKIBBEN, Earl KIMBALL and Allan WIND assisting Mrs. CHRISTENSON.
