CLEAR LAKE -- A prayer service for James L. REED, 31, Clear Lake, will be held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Wilcox Funeral Home. Dr. John DeLONG will officiate. REED died Monday morning when he was electrocuted while working as a line-man near Burchinal.

There will be a short service for Mr. REED at the Bethany Lutheran Church, Iowa Falls, at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will bein Ottumwa at the Johnson Funeral Home at 3 p.m. Burial will be in the Ottumwa Cemetery.

Mr. REED was born May 28, 1935, in Iowa Falls. He was the son of Christian and Anna REED. He is also survived by his wife, Marilyn, three daughters, Carla, Sherrie (sic, should be Cherrie) and Michelle; four brothers, Larry, of Newton; Ronald, of Denver, Colo.; Terry and Gary, both of Iowa Falls; and two sisters, Mrs. Sam (Joyce) FLEMING, of California; and Mrs. William (Connie) LYMAN, Iowa Falls.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
