Crystal Lake Man Dies at Mason City

Crystal Lake -- Warren KING died Saturday afternoon [July 7, 1951] in a Mason City Hospital. He had made his home here with his daughter, Mrs. Emmett DEVIN, since last winter when he suffered a stroke. He was taken to Mason City July 4.

He was born May 30, 1874, in New York state and was married Dec. 25, 1906, to Viva B[lanche]. WOLFE at Clear Lake. In 1932 they came to Crystal Lake where he engaged in farming. Mrs. KING preceded him in death.

Survivors include 4 daughters, Mrs. Emmett DEVIN and MRs. Edmund SORENSON, both of Crystal Lake; Mrs. Wayne GRAHAM, Clear Lake, and Mrs. Clifton BROCK, Woden; a son, George; 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

W. King Rites Held at Crystal Lake

Crystal Lake -- Funeral services for Warren Allen KING, 77, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church with the Rev. Gerhard HJELMASS, assisted by the Rev. RUST of Britt, officiating. Burial was in the Clear Lake cemetery. Mr. KING died Saturday at a Mason City hospital.

Pallbearers were Orville and Geln KLUVER, Sylvan HANNA, Marinis IVERSON, Peter JUHL and John JOHNSON.

A quartet of Andy JANSSEN, Paul KIRKPATRICK, Mrs. Leo PAULSON and Mrs. Cliff STEWART sang. Floral arrangements were in charge of Mrs. Maynard POWERS and Mrs. Harlan SORENSON.

Survivors include 4 daughters, Mrs. Emmett DEVIN and Mrs. Edmund SORENSON of Crystal Lake, Mrs. Clifton BROCK of Woden, and Mrs. Wayne GRAHAM of Clear Lake; a son, George, Clear Lake; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His wife preceded him in death 5 years ago [September 28, 1946].
