Mrs. Warren King, 61, Buried at Clear Lake

Crystal Lake -- Mrs. Warren KING, 61, who died at Crystal Lake Saturday [September 28, 1946] evening, was buried in Clear Lake cemetery Wednesday afternoon following funeral services at the Methodist church in Crystal Lake at 2.

Mrs. KING was born Viva WOLFE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. WOLFE, on a farm south of Clear Lake outlet, and will be remembered by many old residents in this community.

She is survived by her husband and 5 children, Mrs. Emmett DIVEN (sic) and Mrs. Edmond SORENSON, Crystal Lake; Mrs. Clifton BROCK, Corwith, and George and Irene at home.

Miss Verna CARPENTER, Clear Lake, a cousin, and Bruce WOLFE, Cohassett, Minn., a brother, attended the funeral.

Death Took Crystal Lake Woman Saturday

Crystal Lake, Sept. 30 -- Mrs. Warren KING, resident of Crystal Lake for the past six months, died at her home here Saturday [September 28, 1946] after a short illness. She had reached the age of 61 years, 3 months and 27 days.

Viva Blanche WOLF (sic) was born June 21, 1885, at Sac City, Iowa, a daughter of James and Stella WOLF (sic). On December 25, 1906, she was married to Warren KING at Clear Lake and for the past fourteen years the couple have resided near Crystal Lake.

Surviving are her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Emmett DEVINE (sic) of Crystal Lake, Mrs. Edmund SORENSON of Britt, Mrs. Clifton BROCK of Corwith, Miss Irene KING of Crystal Lake; one son, George, or Crystal Lake; three sisters, Mrs. Harry NAYLOR of Birch Hills, Sask., Canada, Mrs. Merle MAINING of Webster Grove, Mo., Mrs. Edward HELLAND of Tullulah, Louisiana; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services were held this afternoon (Wednesday) in the Methodist church with Rev. Gerhard HJALMAAS in charge. Interment was at Clear Lake.
