JENSEN IS FOUND DEAD IN HIS BED

Retired Farmer Died Here
at Home of His Son-in-Law, Dan Beaver.

Julius C. JENSEN, 59-years-old, was found dead in his bed Tuesday morning at the home of his son-in-law, Dan BEAVER at 338 Thirteenth street, north-east. JENSEN had been in poor health for the last few years.

He retired Monday night apparently feeling no worse than normally but he was dead when relatives went to waken him in the morning.

The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 11 o'clock at the Lutheran church in Clear Lake, preceeded by a short service at 10 o'clock at the home here. The Rev. PETERSON will have charge of the services in Clear Lake, where Mr. JENSEN formerly resided before coming to Mason City about four years ago.

Burial will be in the Clear Lake cemetery.

Mr. JENSEN was a retired farmer and was born in [Kobenhavn] Denmark in 1865. The body will be at the Patterson Funeral home until the services at the residence Thursday afternoon.

OBITUARY

Julius C. JENSEN, 60-years-old, who was found dead in bed Tuesday morning at the home of his son-in-law, Dan BEAVER, of 338 Thirteenth street northeast, was born in Denmark, March 18, 1864. He came to the United States when he was 18-years-old and settled at Clinton, Ia., and then moved to Sheffield, Ia., on a farm.

He was married on January 2, 1888, to Miss Bina BERTLESEN. Mrs. JENSEN died in 1906 [April 27].

To this happy union were born eight daughters and four sons. Three children preceded Mr. JENSEN in death, Emma, who died when 21-years-old, and infant twins. Those surviving are; Hans of Clear Lake; William, Emil and Mable of Thornton; Mrs. Ralph WARD, Mrs. G. H. McELROY, Mrs. Dan BEAVER and Miss Julia JENSEN, all of Mason City; and Mrs. Roy McFARLIN of Rockwell, Ia.

The funeral services for Mr. JENSEN were held Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at the Lutheran church in Clear lake. Interment was made in the Clear Lake cemetery.

Mr. JENSEN is also survived by three brothers, Carl of Newll, Ia., Emil of Thornton, and John JENSEN of Minneapolis, Minn.
