Obituary - Effie May (Holm) Osborne

Mrs. Wm. OSBORN (sic) died last Sunday July 24 [1898] at the residence of her parents [Clear Lake Village], Mr. and Mrs. Henry HOLM. Deceased (whose maiden name was Effie May HOLM) was born on the farm [Grant Township of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa] Oct. 8, 1876. She was an ordinary healthy girl till about 13 years old at which time she grew frail and delicate and has been practically an invalid ever since.

Last winter she was taken seriously ill and went to Minnesota in hope that the change would be beneficial but it did not prove so and ever since her return, May 20, she gradually grew worse until a peaceful death brought real relief.

She was married to Wm. OSBORNE October 17, 1894 and he and a young son [Arthur LeRoy] survive her.

Funeral services, conducted by Rev. J. J. LACE, were held at the parents residence Monday at 3 p.m. [Interment at Clear Lake Cemetery, Block 1, Lot 161, Space 3.]
