Alvira Potter rites to be Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. Alvira C. POTTER, 72, of Minneapolis, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the James Chapel. She died Wednesday [August 22, 1973] at Deaconess Hospital in Minneapolis.

The Rev. Keith L. SCOTT, pastor of Wesley Methodist Church, will officiate. Mrs. Earl EHLERS will be the organist. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with Patterson James Funeral Home in charge. Visitation will be at the chapel after 7 p.m. Thursday. The family suggests memorials go to the Wesley United Methodist Church.

Born Dec. 15, 1900, at Forest City, she was the daughter of George and Bessie SMITH. She was married to Earl G. POTTER April 19, 1919 in Forest City. She lived in Mason City until eight years ago.

Surviving are a son, George W. POTTER, La Mirada, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Evelyn) AHLS, Chicago; Mrs. Lila CLARK, Minneapolis; 20 grandchidren, five great-grandchildren, three sisters and a brother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, and a daughter.
