RITES HELD FOR DR. T. NETTLETON

Dr. Thomas A. NETTLETON 58, passed away at a Mason City hospital on Friday morning, January 2, following an illness of several months. He was born on June 15, 1900, in Butler County, the son of Frank and Hannah McDERMOTT NETTLETON. His early education was received in rural schools of Butler County and he graduated from Sacred Heart Academy High School in Greene. In 1922 he graduated from Dentist School at Creighton University in Omaha after which he attended Forsyth Dental Infirmary in Boston, Massachusetts where he specialized in extractions and anesthesis. He bgan practice in Mason City in 1923

Survivors include his wife, Hazel; four daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Connie) McCAULEY of Dubuque; Judy, JoAnn and Patty at home; sons, Dr. Terry E. NETTLETON who was assciated with his father, Private Robert NETTLETON of El Passo, Texas. Richard NETTLETON of St. John's College in Collegeville, Minnesota, and Michael NETTLETON at home; and four grandsons and three granddaughters. Also his mother, Mrs. Hannah NETTLETON of Greene; two brothers, Louis of Greene and Robert of Dumont and four sisters, Mrs. Joe STEINBERGER of Garner, Mrs. Ben MARK of Waterloo, Mrs. Lyle MAXSON and Mrs. Lowell MAXON of Greene. He was preceded in death by his father.

Requieum Mass was held on Monday morning at 9:00 o'clock at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial was held at St. Joseph's Cemetery with military rites [World War I Veteran].

Dr. Thomas NETTLETON'S friends will be glad to know that he has been awarded a life membership by the "40 and 8" at it's January meeting, for obtaining 118 members during 1925. Thomas is the adjutant of Clausen-Woren post at Mason City.
