MANLY — Florence Z. Steiner, 87, formerly of Mankato, Minn. died Sunday (May 26, 1985) at the Manly Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Bethany Lutheran Church, Kensett, with the Rev Harry Peterson officiating. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery at Blue Earth, with a graveside committal service at 12:30 p.m.

Florence Steiner was born June 17, 1897, at Blue Earth, to Benjamin and Isabell (Leiter) Benson. She attended school in Blue Earth and graduated from Blue Earth High School. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Blue Earth and a 50-year member of the American Legion Auxilary.

She was married to Frank J. Steiner on July 23, 1923, at Blue Earth, Minn. He preceded her in death in 1968. They moved to Mankato in 1956 and lived there until she moved to Manly six weeks ago. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Hogan-Bremer Bride Colonial Chapel, Manly and at the church prior to service.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Tom (Helen Jean) Fretty of Kensett and Mrs. Barton (Ruth) Blakely of N. Mankato, Minn.; three grandchildren, Mrs. Mark (Patty) Walker of Iowa City, Mrs. Keven (Sandy) Bruesewitz of Grafton and Jody Fretty of Ames; three great-grandchildren, Kendra and Lynnea Walker both of Iowa City and Raechel Bruesewitz of Grafton; two nieces, Mrs. Ron (Betty) Andersen of N. Mankato, Minn. and Joan of Benson, Calif.
