GORDON, TRUSTEM, MCKENZY, HUISMAN

MANLY — Retired rural Manly farmer Ernest R. Gordon, 78, died Saturday (May 25, 1985) at his farm home.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bethany Lutheran Church, Kensett, with the Rev. Harry Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Kensett Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Monday at Hogan-Bremer-Bride Colonial Chapel, Manly.

Born Nov. 26, 1906, in Worth County, he was the son of Teman and Randy Trustem Gordon. He attended rural Worth County schools, graduating from Kensett High School.

He attended Hamilton Business College in Mason City, and married Marjorie McKenzy on March 25, 1929, at Fort Dodge.

He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Kensett, and farmed northeast of Manly all his life. Memorials should go to Bethany Lutheran Church, Kensett.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; one daughter, Mrs. Duane (Betty) Huisman, Waverly; one son, Richard of Kensett; three brothers, Norman of Manly, and Lawrence and Gaylord, both of Kensett; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
