Hold Rites for Aged Resident; Mrs. H. Nelson, 82, Buried at Ventura; 4 Children Survive; Clear Lake--Funeral Services for Mrs. Henrietta Nelson, 82, who died Tuesday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Anna Clausen, 208 1/2 West Main street, following an attack of pneumonia, were planned at Ward's funeral home Friday afternoon. The Rev. Z. Hougham, pastor of the United Brethern church of Ventura, conducted the rites and burial was in Ventura cemetery.
Six grandsons, Orrville, Fordyce and Shirley Goodling, Halgar and Merrell Clausen and Eugene Sorflaten were to act as pallbearers, if present. In case they did not arrive, other relatives would act...
Born in Denmark...Appropriate hymns were sung by two women from Ventura and Mrs. Jack Juns and Miss Evelyn Peterson arranged the flowers.
Henrietta Hansen was born May 19, 1857, in Denmark, and came to the United States with friends when a young woman, stopping first with her brother, at Anthon. On Dec 16, 1883 she was married to H. P. Nelson at Onawa and spent all her married life in Iowa, living at Clear Lake, Ventura and Cedar Falls. Mr. Nelson died at Cedar Falls Feb. 1, 1928, since which time Mrs. Nelson lived with her daughters.

Mrs. Nelson was confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Lutheran chuch at Cedar Falls. She was also a member of the W. R. C and of the Linger Longer Club.
Besides Mrs. Clausen, Mrs. Nelson is survived by tow other daughters, Mrs. Albert Goodling, Ventura, and Mrs. Harold Carrington, Hollywood, Cal., and a son, H. Chris Nelson, Central City, Nebr. One son died at 8 years of age. Other living relatives are a sister, Mrs J. J. Julsen, Clear Lake, a brother, Hans Hansen, Anthon, and a brother and sister living in Denmark besides a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews
