Madonna T. Coyle
MASON CITY- Madonna T. "Donna" Coyle, 81, of 112 S. Rhode Island Ave., died Tuesday (May 1, 1990) at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church 302 5th St. S.E., with the Rev. Daniel J. Keppler, officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Dougherty.
Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today at Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E, where a combined rosary of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and St. Mary Magdalene Circle will be said at 4 p.m., followed by a scriptural wake at 7 p.m., today.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
She was born July 5, 1908, at Dougherty to Michael J. and Margaret G. (Mullin) McGee. She was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School, Dougherty, and also attended the Des Moines Contometer School. She was employed as a contometer operator at Jacob E. Decker & Sons, later Armour & Co. She married James F. Coyle on July 20, 1936, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Mason City.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, St. Mary Magdalene Circle, St. Joseph Mercy Hosptial Auxiliary, the Mason City Garden Club, Grandmother's Club, Catholic Daughters of the America's Women of the Moose and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include one son, Michael J. Coyle, of Dubuque; two granddaughters, Reagan Kathleen Coyle and Erin Kathryn Coyle, both of Dubuque; one sister, Mary Ellen Dolan of Rockwell; and three nephews, Joseph Dolan of Dubuque, Dennis Dolan of Madison, Wis., and Dr. Timothy Dolan of Dallas, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1971; and one brother, Walter F. McGee.
