CLEAR LAKE- Funeral services for Mrs. Angela Marie DuSold, 79, formerly of Clear Lake, will be 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1001 Ninth Ave. S, Clear Lake. The Rev. Edward Shields will officiate with burial in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery.
Mrs. DuSold died Saturday (May 27, 1989) at a Madison, Wis., hospital, of natural causes.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m., Wednesday at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N Fourth, where a rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
She was born May 31, 1909, in Clear Lake to John and Barbara (Haege) Chizek. She was graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1927 and Iowa State Teachers College in 1931. She then returned to Clear Lake and worked at Sondrol's Grocery Store.
On Oct. 27, 1934, she was married to Bert DuSold at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Clear Lake. She worked at Buttreys ladies apparel store in Mason City and later at Bergo's. She then went back to school. She taught second and third grade at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City from 1959 to 1963. She then taught remedial reading in the Rudd-Rockford school sytem, retiring in 1974.
On June 16, 1988, she and her husband moved to Madison, Wis., where she has been in a nursing home and her husband has lived with their daughter.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Clear Lake.
Survivors include her husband, Bert; one daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Diane) Quigley, Madison, Wis.; one sister, Mrs Anita Peters, DuQuion, Ill.; two brothers, Robert Chizek, Clear Lake and Cletus Chizek, Harlingen, Texas; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
