MASON CITY- Marcus Peter Malloy, 92,of 4 Third St. N.W., died Saturday at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.

Resurrection liturgy will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams Ave., Mason City, with the Rev. John Slepicka and the Rev. John Kremer officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery with graveside military rites by the Mason City Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N. E. There will be a vigil service at 7 tonight at the chapel.

Marcus Peter Malloy was born Dc. 4, 1899, in Gilmore City, to James and Anna (Molloy) Malloy.
He attended Gilmore City Schools and in 1918 joined the Army Air Corps during World War I, serving in the United States, England and France, and was wounded in service.

He was united in marriage to Beatrice Duffy on Dec . 27, 1927.

He farmed in Webster, Hamilton and Worth counties for many years until his retirement in 1965, when he moved to Mason City. He loved his farm and was a very hard worker, he also had a good sense of humor and enjoyed visiting with family and friends and was very close to his grandchildren.

He was active in the Democratic Party. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and felt that his faith was very important to him. He was also a member of the VFW, the American Legion Post in Mason City and was a Disabled American Veteran.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Eleanor) Madden, Mason City, Mrs Donald (Mary Ann) Brown, Naples, Fla.; and Mrs Robert (Sharon) Rydeen, Sheboygan, Wis.; two sons, James and his wife (Betty), Malloy of Joice, and
Joseph, and his wife (Susan), Malloy, Des Moines, eleven grandchildren, Ann Rice, Winooski, Va., Steven Madden, Mesa, Ariz., Lynne Madden, Mason City, Susan Ziolkowski, Denver, Colo., Patrica Rydeen, Chinle, Ariz., Maureen Brown, Chicago, Ill., Julie Brown, West Palm Beach, Fla., Marcus Malloy, Lake Mills,Dawn Malloy, Des Moines, Matthew Malloy, Oahu, Hawaii,
and Meghan Malloy, Des Moines; two great-granddaughters, Kathern and Charlotte Rice, both of Winooski, Va.; as well as other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, five sisters, and his wife who died in March 1988.
