MASON CITY- A Mass of the Resurrection for Sue Rosalie Riggins, 16, 1413 N. Virginia Ave., who died Saturday (Aug. 5, 1989) in a car accident two miles east of Mason City on U.S. 18, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams Ave.
The Rev. Joseph J. Slepicka, of Holy Family, and the Rev. Daniel J. Keppler of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery at Dougherty.
Funeral services will be held jointly with those of Bobbi Jo Poole, who died as the result of injuries sustained in the same accident.
Miss Riggins was born Sept. 26, 1972, in Mason City to Edmund C. and Dorothy M. (Giesking) Riggins. She attended St. Joseph's and Holy Family schools, and would have been a sophomore at Mason City High School this fall.
She was a member of Holy Family Church, International Order of Rainbow Girls, Mason City Assembly No. 45, and Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD) at Mason City High School.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today at Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., with a scripture wake at 7:30 tonight at the funeral home.
Survivors include her mother, Dorothy Riggins, Mason City; maternal step-grandmother, Estela Giesking, Forest City; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father.
