Charles Nagel

MASON CITY- Charles P. Nagel, 82, of 304 Third St. N.E., died of natural causes Saturday (Aug. 6, 1986) at the Good Shepherd Center, Mason City.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E. with the Rev. Charles Q. Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation is after 2 p.m. today at Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, where a Loyal Order of the Moose service will be held at 7:30 tonight.

Mr. Nagel was born Aug. 17, 1905, in Manly, to Amil and Andrea (Schovel) Nagel. He graduated from Hanlontown High School in 1923, and farmed with his father in the Hanlontown area.

He married Pearl Campbell June 8, 1928, and the farmed before moving to Mason City in 1943.

In 1942 he began working as a mechanic for Gallagher Pontiac in Mason City, and continued for Sedars Pontiac in service and sales until retiring in 1968.

He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose for 41 years and the First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl; a son, Clifford, Urbandale; a daughter, Mrs Robert (Beverly) Boyd, Sioux Falls, S.D.; a sister, Mrs Geneva Fletcher, Hamburg, and seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and an infant sister.
