Helen A. Casey

MASON CITY- Helen A. Casey, 84, 4 Third St. N.W., died Tuesday, (March 7, 1989) at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Mason City of natural causes.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N Adams Ave. The Rev. Joseph J. Slepicka will officiate with burial in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City.

Mrs. Casey was born Jan. 6, 1905, at Whittemore to William J. and Catherine (Meehan) O'Brian.
She graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy at Charles City in 1922, and attended Mount St. Joseph College (now Clark College) in Dubuque.

On Sept 12, 1925, she was married to Charles J. Casey at Holy Family Church in Mason City.

She was a member of Holy Family Church and St. Celeste Circle.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E. A scripture wake will be held at 7:30 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Helen A. Casey Memorial Fund.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs Gordon (Jane) Gold, Chapel Hill, N.C.; two sons, Neal, Stillwater, Minn., and Jack, Bloomington, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and one sister.
