Funeral for
Mrs. Ray set
for SaturdayThe funeral for Emma Ray, 78, widow of The Rev. Jordan Ray, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Patterson-James Chapel.
The Rev. O.E. Blanks, pastor of the Union Memorial Methodist Church; Dr. George Truman Carl, pastor of the first Methodist Church and Elder Alfonse Douglas, of the Union Memorial Methodist church, will officiate.
Mrs. Louis Kipper will be the soloist; Mrs. Wallace C. Allen, organist.
Pallbearers selected are the Rev. Marvin L. Hulse, the Rev. E. W. Brayton, Donald Stangler, O.E. McGruder, Cecil Douglas and Felix Parker.
Mrs. Cecil Douglas and Mrs. A. G. Moore wil be in charge of flowers. Friends may call at the chapel until the time of services.
Mrs. Ray, who lived at 946 E. State, died Thursday in a Mason City hospital. She was born Oct. 24, 1885, at Carsicanna, Tex. She was married to the Rev. Jordan Ray, Nov. 1, 1914, at Kansas City, Mo., who preceded her in death Sept. 4, 1964.
She is survived by a niece, Ida Plez Ray, Los Angeles, Calif. Mrs. Ra was a member of Union Memorial Methodist Church.
