MELVIN BAKER

Brought here for burial.
The body of Melvin Baker was brought here yesterday morning from Mason City and taken to Andrew where the funeral was held in the Presbyterian Church, Rev. James, officiating.

Mr. Baker had been making his home with his son, Frank, at Andrew, until about four weeks ago , at which time he went to Mason City and has been enjoying the comforts of the Odd Fellows Home, where he passed away Saturday morning.

Melvin Baker was born in Jamestown, New York, in 1848, coming to Iowa in the year 1863. He was married to Miss Margaret Cavenou in 1872, she passing away in 1874. Mr. Baker was a carpenter by trade. He is survived by his son, Frank, of Andrew and a sister, Mrs. Elmer Miller of this city.
