Four children to this marriage - William Hamilton of North Dakota, Alice Hamilton Castle of Bristol, Wisconsin, Nellie Hamilton Schaffer of Racine, Wisconsin and George Hamilton of Somers, Wisconsin. Eleven grandchildren living in Wisconsin.

Second marriage to Katherine Leonard of Mason City, Iowa in the year of 1895. One daughter to this marriage, Katherine Hamilton Gashel and several step children and two grand daughters and step grandchildren.
