Funeral services for Harold W. Grunder, 76, Wilton, were held May 27, 1988 at the Zion Lutheran church, Wilton, with the Rev. Curtis Moermond officiating. Burial was in the Oakdale cemetery.

Mr. Grunder died May 23 at Mercy hospital, Davenport.

The son of Henry and Lulu Walters Grunder, he was born Jan. 3, 1912 in Cedar county near Wilton. He married Leota Herr Feb. 22, 1936 in Wilton and farmed his entire adult life. He was a member of the Cedar County Farm Bureau for many years and a member of the Wilton school board. He was also a member of the Zion Lutheran church.

Mr. Grunder is survived by his wife, Leota; a son, Norman, Wilton; a daughter, Jane Collins, Bettendorf; 3 granddaughters; 2 great-granddaughters; a brother, Leo, Wilton and a sister, Mrs. Leslie (Gertrude) Kruse, Hampton. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and a brother.
