Final rites for Elverna Schneekloth White, 74, were held at Durant Feb. 22 with the Rev. David Lawson officiating. Burial was in the Durant cemetery. Pallbearers were Curtis, Paul and Aaron Schneekloth, David and Rex Kallenberger, Steve Ohrt, Jim Christiansen, Terry Riessen and Emerson Bowstead.

Mrs. White died at the American Care Center, Davenport, Feb. 20.

The daughter of James and Hulda Jepsen Riessen, she was born at Walcott Nov. 14, 1913. She married Victor Schneekloth in Davenport June 9, 1934. He died in 1978. She married Monroe White in Durant June 9, 1979. He died in 1984.

She was a 50 year member of the Pythian sisters at Durant, the DRD club and the Davenport Women of the Moose. She worked for Petersen-Harned Von Maur for 20 years prior to 1979.

She is survived by a son, Harris Schneekloth, Durant; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Bonita) Kallenberger, Tipton; a stepson, Alfred White, Walcott; 4 stepdaughters, Mrs. Edward (Lucille) Sterling, Port Byron, Ill.; Mrs. Jim (Betty) Martin, Benton, Ark.; Mrs. Robert (Louise) Jipp, Wilton and Maxine Ruser, Eldridge; 6 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, 25 step grandchildren; 23 step great-grandchildren; a brother, Melvin, Stockton and 2 sisters, Mrs. Ray (Evelyn) Christiansen and Mrs. Arno (Bernice) Paustian, Durant.

She was preceded in death by both husbands and a son.
