Final rites for Mrs. Albert (Hazel M.) Mussig, 94, will be held at the Sheets & Son Funeral home at 10:30 a.m. today (Feb. 24) with the Rev. Joseph P. Hines officiating. Burial will be in the Stanwood cemetery. Sharon Stiff is organist. Pallbearers are Bob and Jim Mussig and Dale Rodgers. Vigil service was held at 4 p.m. Feb. 23 at Sheets & Son.
Mrs. Mussig died at the Mechanicsville Care center Feb. 20.
The daughter of William and Sarah Graft, she was born at Stanwood March 2, 1893 and attended the school for the deaf at Council Bluffs. She was married to Albert Mussig at Stanwood June 14, 1921. A homemaker, she lived most of her life in the Stanwood area.
She was a member of St. Mary's church, Tipton.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Francis (Mabel) Baker, West Branch; 2 sons, Jake, Cedar Rapids and Laurence, Tacoma, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
