Funeral services for Horace E. Walton, 89, will be held at the Sheets and Son Funeral home at 2 p.m. today (Feb. 24) with Dr. Jerrold Swinton officiating. Burial will be in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Pallbearers are Kurtis Voparil, Roger Timm, Carl Bair, Don Armstrong, Harlan Howe and Harry Wehde Sr. Kathy Schott will be the organist.

Mr. Walton died at Cedar Manor Feb. 21.

The son of George G. and Eliza L. King Walton, he was born in Cedar county and attended the rural schools and Brown Business college, Davenport. He was married to Curvey Bell Miller at Davenport Feb. 21, 1923.

A retired farmer, Mr. Walton had lived in the Tipton area all his life.

He is survived by his wife and a nephew, Maurice Walton, Tipton. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers.
