Last rites for Mrs. Carl (Marguerite B.) Kruse, 70, were held at Trinity Lutheran church, Tipton, April 26 with the Revs. Donald Sondrol and Philip Hougen officiating. Burial was in the Lisbon cemetery. Jan Penningroth was organist. Pallbearers were David, Eric and Mark Kruse and Roger, Mike and Mark Gritton.

Mrs. Kruse died at Cedar Manor April 24.

The daughter of Fred and Alta F. Barney Howard, she was born at Cedar Bluff Jan. 2, 1918. She attended Tipton high school. She was married to Carl W. Kruse at Cedar Rapids June 29, 1940.

A housewife, she had lived in Tipton, moving to Marion 20 years ago. She had been a resident of Cedar Manor for a month. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church.

She is survived by a son, Carl W. Kruse III, Marion; 4 grandchildren; a sister, Lois Bahmler, Tipton and a brother, Robert Howard, Jefferson. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother.
