Last rites for Frank Stepanek, 83, were held at the Sheets and Son Funeral Home April 11 with the Rev. Donald Sondrol officiating. Burial was in Woodbridge cemetery, Buchanan. Pallbearers were Larry Caulkins, Gene Clark, Cathy Ott, Harold Hollingsworth, Cheryl Almvhowish and Brenda Stepanek. Clair Gardner was an honorary pallbearer. Jim Schneider was vocalist and Sharon Stiff organist.

Mr. Stepanek died at his home west of Cedar Bluff April 7.

The son of James and Mary Buresh Stepanek, he was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia Nov. 22, 1904. The family came to the United States in 1909 and he was educated in the rural Cedar county schools. He was married to Anna Gardner.

A retired farmer, he lived west of Tipton.

He is survived by 2 sons, Derald, Cedar Rapids and Dwayne, West Branch; a sister, Mrs. Annie Stout, Tipton; a brother, John, Cedar Rapids; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, a sister and 4 brothers.
