Final rites for Louis J. Friday, 88, retired farmer, were held at the Sheets & Son Funeral home Nov. 2 with Dr. Jerrold Swinton officiating. Burial was in the Clarence cemetery. Pallbearers were Matthew Friday, Mark Wiskus, Robert Simmermaker, Harley Conrad, Leonard Bromell and Alvin Wright. Kelly Schnoor and Shelby Wiskus were vocalists and Betty Trevathan was organist.

Mr. Friday died at Cedar Manor Oct. 31.

The son of Joseph and Elizabeth Brun Friday, he was born near Lowden Oct. 30, 1899. He was educated in the rural schools near Lowden.

He was married to Ruth Bromell at Tipton in 1924. After her death he was married to Ellen Neff in Geneseo, Ill. in 1959.

A retired farmer, he had been employed as a parking attendant in Geneseo, Ill. He was resident of Geneseo, Ill, and Tipton.

Mr. Friday is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Myron (Helen) Workman, Delmar; a son, Robert, Tipton; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Martha Northrup, San Diego, Calif. He was preceded in death by both his wives, 3 sisters and a brother.
