Funeral services for Ralph G. Ehresman, 86, Tipton, will be held at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 26, 1987 at the First United Church of Christ in Tipton, with the Rev. Robert Molsberry officiating. Diane Moon will be the vocalist and Betty Trevathan will be the organist. Pallbearers will be Herbert Whitmer, George Straub, Paul Hain, Larry Kessler, Arthur Albaugh and Kent Strackbein. Honorary pallbearers will be Lloyd Meyer, Bob Clark, Everett Cone and Harlan Reeder. Burial will be in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.
Mr. Ehresman died Aug. 24 at Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton.
The son of Alex and Laura Wentzel Ehresman, he was born Sept. 22, 1900 near Cedar Bluff. He attended the rural Cedar county schools. He married Viva I. Graham Dec. 8, 1923 in Tipton. He was a retired farmer and feed salesman and was a lifetime Tipton area resident. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Tipton.
Mr. Ehresman is survived by a son, Ronald, Newton; 2 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Abby Cissna, Portland, Ore. and Mrs. Forest (Edna) Schlagel, Sterling, Ill and one brother, Dale, Tipton. He was preceded in death by his wife, a sister and a brother.
