Graveside services for Josephine LaPlant, 91, Stanwood, will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1987 at the Stanwood cemetery with the Rev. Calvin Shumacher officiating. There will be no visitation.

Mrs. LaPlant died Aug. 17 at the Clarence Nursing Home.

Josephine Day was born Jan. 20, 1896 to Hugh and Ellen Albertson Day at Stanwood. She married Harold LaPlant in October 1914 in Stanwood.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Paul (Phyllis) Portewig, Stanwood and Mrs. Clair (Gean) Huffman, Milan, Ill.; a granddaughter, 4 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband.
