Funeral services for Lucile M. Horn, 72, Tipton, were held June 11, 1987 at Sheets and Son Funeral Home in Tipton, with Dr. Jerrold Swinton officiating. Betty Trevathan was the organist and pallbearers were Leo Ford, Doug Ford, Herb Ford, Jim Driscoll, James Christianson and Randy Ford. Honorary bearers were Lowell Salyars, Wayne Ford and Eldon Ford. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Mrs. Horn died June 8 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City following an extended illness.

The daughter of James and Emma Duscheng Christianson, she was born Oct. 29, 1914 in Stanwood. She attended the Mechanicsville school. She married Lowell Horn Nov. 10, 1957 in Tipton.

Mrs. Horn was a homemaker and a member of the Tipton Legion Auxiliary, Tipton Senior Citizens, First United Methodist church and Women's Fellowship.

She is survived by her husband, Lowell, Tipton; a daughter, Frances Meixner, Cedar Rapids; a brother, James Christianson, Luther and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter.
