Funeral services for Harold Stotler, 72, Iowa City, were held June 2, 1987 at the West Branch United Methodist church, with the Rev. Samuel J. Hahn officiating. Mrs. Leanna Thomas was the organist. Pallbearers were Dean Gibson, Jerry Radford, Edward Larew, Kenneth Hunter, Bruce Jeffries and Paul Sexton. Burial, with full military honors, was held at the West Branch cemetery. The Barker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. A memorial fund has been established.

Mr. Stotler died May 30 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City, following an extended illness.

Mr. Stotler owned and operated the Star Grocery in West Branch for 16 years and was later employed by the West Branch State Bank for 18 years. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Chauncy Butler American Legion Post. He was also a member of the West Branch United Methodist church.

He is survived by his wife; twin daughters, Mrs. Tom (Cheryl) McKinnon, Galesburg, Ill. and Mrs. Christopher (Charon) Nelson, Colorado Springs, Colo.; 4 brothers, Donald Stotler, Nehallem, Ore; Dr. T. H. Stotler, Monterey, Calif.; Donald Anderson, Senora, Calif. and Arlo Anderson, Accokek, Md. and 3 granddaughters.
