Funeral services for Thomas Joseph Kane, 78, were held at St. Mary's Catholic church, Mechanicsville May 15 with the Rev. Joseph P. Hines officiating. Burial was in the Clarence cemetery. Pallbearers were John Moffit, Don Driscoll, Francis and J. Edward Crock, Don Biedenbach and Charles Mulherin.

Mr. Kane died at University hospitals, Iowa City, May 12.

The son of Thomas Joseph and Katherine Moon Kane, he was born at Clarence May 24, 1906. He was a retired truck driver.

He is survived by 2 sons, Thomas D. and Patrick P., both of Stanwood; 2 daughters, Mary Joan Hilliard, Colby, Kans. and Teresa P. Kane, Iowa City and a sister, Maria O'Hara, Phoenix, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his wife.
