Funeral services for Grover W. Geurink, 86, were held at the Lacock Funeral Home, Durant, May 16 with the Rev. L. Jack Ehlers officiating. Burial was in the Durant cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Lilienthal, Leo Weih, Wendell King, Gene Compton, Arno Paustian and James Knudsen.

Mr. Geurink died at the Wilton Nursing home May 14.

The son of John and Anna Strobhen Geurink, he was born at Walcott Aug. 20, 1898. He farmed in the Cedar county area until his retirement in 1955.

He is survived by a brother, Albert, Durant; 2 sisters, Mrs. Henry (Agnes) Buesing, Stockton and Malinda Blank, Davenport. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
