Funeral services for Mathew Leonard Frisch, 14, were held at Durant May 13 with the Rev. Paul Pennington officiating. Pallbearers were Arnie Kempf, Harold Petersen, Dave Rowland, Richard Needham, Edward Braet, Dennis Peckenschneider and Harris Schneekloth. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.

Frisch died at University hospitals, Iowa City, May 10.

The son of Gary and Pat Valett Frisch, he was born in Davenport Nov. 22, 1970. He was an 8th grade student in the Durant Community schools where he participated in the junior high football program. He was a member of the Durant Junior Bowling League, the Little League and the Babe Ruth baseball league.

He is survived by his parents, a brother, Randall, Des Moines, a sister, Carla, Wilton; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Valett, Durant and Clara Frisch, Davenport.
