May 15, 1985 - The Tipton Conservative

Last rites for Amanda Rae Meier, 11-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Meier, were held at First United Church of Christ May 13 with the Rev. Knupp officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Betty Trevathan was organist.

The infant died at her home May 10.

The daughter of Joel Scott and Diana Rae Phillips Meier, she was born at Iowa City May 25, 1984.

She is survived by her parents, her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Phillips, Anchorage, Alaska; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Meier, Tipton; her maternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Miles Treadway, Center Junction and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Phillips, Clarence, her paternal great-grandfather, George Meier, Cedar Rapids; her maternal great-great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Wallace, New Richland, Minn. and her maternal great-great-grandfather, Henry Roelfs, Allison.
