Funeral services for Mrs. John G. (Ruth J.) McLean, 79, were held at West Branch April 24 with the Rev. Samuel J. Hahn officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mrs. McLean died at Crestview Care center, West Branch, April 20.

The daughter of George E. and Bertha Moore Allen, she was born in Santa Monica, Calif. June 16, 1905. She was married to John G. McLean in Inglewood, Calif. Dec. 21, 1929. He died in 1963.

She was employed as a cook most of her life. Formerly of California, she moved to West Branch in 1968. She had most recently worked as a cook at the Crestview Care center.

She is survived by 2 sons, John, Ford, Wash. and Kenneth, Newman Lake, Wash.; a daughter, Mrs. Iral (Judy) Ellyson, West Branch; 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and 2 sisters, Mrs. Georgia Lewis, Lincoln, Ark. and Mrs. Thelma Purkey, Ventura, Calif.
