March 28, 1984 - The Tipton Conservative

Final rites for Mrs. Raymond (Dorothy Agnes) Crock, 82, were held at St. Mary's Catholic church March 27 with the Revs. Joseph Hines, George Snell, Aloysius White and Donnelly Fitzpatrick officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery.

Pallbearers were Steve, Allen, James J. and John Crock, Dennis Marchik and Joseph Bents. Honorary pallbearers were Kenneth and David Crock, Donald and Daniel Marchik and Thomas and Edward Bents. Music was by Rosemary Crock, JoAnn Crock and Kathy Schott. The Rosary was held at the Sheets and Son funeral home March 26.

Mrs. Crock died at Cedar Manor March 24.

The daughter of Edward and Sarah Peters Brennan, she was born near Cedar Bluff Feb. 23, 1902 and graduated from Our Lady of Angels, Clinton Lyons and Clarke college, Dubuque. She was married to Raymond L. Crock at St. Mary's church, Tipton June 15, 1927.

A lifetime resident of Tipton and Cedar county, she was a teacher and housewife. She was a member of St. Mary's church and St. Mary's Guild.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Robert (Lorna) Marchik and Mrs. John (Mary Jean) Bents, Tipton; 3 sons, Donald E., Masonville and Raymond Jr. and James, Tipton; a sister, Mrs. Frank (Mary) Shima, Tipton; 28 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband.
