Last rites for Mrs. Martin (Kirsten) Ovesen, 97, will be held at 1:30 p.m. today (March 21) at Zion Lutheran church, Wilton, with the Rev. Curtis Moermond officiating. Burial will be in the Oakdale cemetery. Pallbearers are Harold Ovesen, Raymond Moeller, Louis Timmsen, Henry Petersen, Arthur Sessler and Wayne Grunder. Honorary pallbearers are Jake Davies, Harold (Bill) Grunder, Tom Zimmerman, Harold W. Grunder and Edward Moravek. Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran school building.

Mrs. Ovesen died at Morning Sun Manor March 18.

The daughter of Peter and Ane Krog Christensen Larson, she was born in Denmark Dec. 29, 1886. She was married to Martin Ovesen in Wilton March 11, 1908. He died in 1934. Mrs. Ovesen was a member of the Zion Lutheran church, the Ladies Aid of the church and the Wilton Garden club.

She is survived by a son, Herbert, and a daughter, Mrs. Leo (Anne) Grunder, Wilton; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
