Funeral services for Harry C. Schlunsen, 80, were held at Durant Feb. 24 with the Rev. John Rosenberger officiating. Burial was in the Durant cemetery. Mr. Schlunsen died at Mercy hospital, Davenport, Feb. 20.

The son of Fritz and Erena Hamann Schlunsen, he was born in Cedar county Aug. 20, 1903.

A retired farmer, he had been employed by the Standard Oil company and the Durant cemetery.

He is survived by 2 brothers, Hugo C., Davenport and Elmer W., Mesa, AZ and a sister, Mable Kardell, Davenport. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and a sister.
