Last rites for Glen Harold Kamerling Jr., 55, were held at the Horner Funeral home, Mechanicsville, Feb. 23 with the Rev. Dick Harberts officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. Pallbearers were R. Dale Studer, Ronald Miller, Roxy Scott, Kenneth and William Weber and Arthur Olson. Mrs. Wayne Brown was vocalist. Military rites were by the Busch-Dennis post of the American Legion.

Mr. Kamerling died at the Americana Nursing home, Cedar Rapids, Feb. 21.

The son of Glen and Mary Bloom Kamerling, he was born in Linn township Jan. 12, 1929. He attended the Prairie Bell school and graduated from Lisbon high school. He entered military service Oct. 18, 1948, serving in the Korean conflict. He was discharged June 3, 1952. He was married in 1959.

Mr. Kamerling worked for the Bell Telephone Co. at Maquoketa and was employed by Weber Brothers, Mechanicsville. He was a member of Busch-Dennis post of the American Legion.

He is survived by 2 sons, James, Des Moines and Paul, Tipton, his mother, Mrs. Mary Kamerling, Mechanicsville, a brother, Donald, Lisbon and 2 sisters, Frances Hansen, Morley and Gwen Bulger, Mechanicsville.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Robert.
