Funeral services for Clare Hill, 77, will be held at the Wilton Methodist church at 2 p.m. today (Feb. 15) with the Rev. Paul Pennington officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale cemetery, Wilton. Pallbearers are Clare Nebergall, James Peterson, Al Werling, Larry Marine, Mike Klopfenstein, and Melvin Fick.

Mr. Hill died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, Feb. 13.

The son of Floyd and Winnie Eisaman Hill, he was born in Cedar county April 19, 1906. He was a member of a pioneer family. His grandfather, Richard Hill, an early settler in Inland township, was one of the original residents of Bennett.

Mr. Hill was married to Mabel Nelson. She preceded him in death in 1968. He married Amy Patterson in Muscatine Feb. 2, 1969. He was a retired trucker and farmer. He was a member of the Wilton Methodist church, the Masonic lodge at Wilton, Kaaba Shrine, Davenport; the Davenport Consistory and the Moose lodge in Muscatine.

He is survived by his wife, Amy, Wilton; a son, Richard Pedmore, Cedar Falls, a daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Janet) Dillard, Milwaukee, WI, Milwaukee, WI, 5 grandchildren and a sister, Margaret Hill, Flinton, MI.
