Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Schwitzer, 84, were held at Iowa City, Feb. 17 with burial in Memorial Park cemetery in Clinton. Mrs. Schwitzer died at her home in Iowa City, Feb. 14, following a long illness.

The daughter of Henry and Marianne Paulson Werner, she was born at Charlotte, Jan. 30, 1892 and was married to William Schwitzer at Bennett, Dec. 14, 1910. They lived in the Bennett and Tipton area. She moved to Iowa City in 1969.

Mrs. Schwitzer was a member of Trinity Lutheran church.

She is survived by 4 sons, John, Rochester; Russell, Tipton; Werner, Cedar Rapids and Orey, Iowa City; 4 daughters, Mrs. Gaylord (Luella) Goodale and Mrs. Roy (Genevieve) Leighty, Tipton; Mrs. Ernest (Marian) Kula, Independence and Mrs. Ronald (Elaine) Fiefer, Iowa City, 30 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Werner, Clinton and a sister, Mrs. Hertha Eggert, Mechanicsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, 4 grandsons and 2 brothers.
