Funeral services for Mrs. John (Cecilia) Kessler, 73, were held at Solon Feb. 14 with the Rev. George Bachman officiating. Burial was in St. Bridget's cemetery.

Mrs. Kessler died at her home, Route 2, West Branch, Feb. 11 following a short illness.

The daughter of Joseph and Antone Jicha Moravek, she was born near Solon Sept. 17, 1902. She was married to John Kessler Feb. 18, 1925. The couple farmed near West Branch for more than 50 years.

Mrs. Kessler was a member of St. Bridget's church and the Altar and Rosary Society.

She is survived by her husband, 2 daughters, Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Linnell, Oxford and Mrs. Don (Darlene) Klouda, Solon; 3 sons, Clarence, Cedar Rapids; Melvin, Solon and Eugene, West Branch; 16 grandchildren, a great-grandchild and a brother, Milo Moravek, Solon.
